تتعثر جهود تُبذل لعقد محادثات سلام بين الجنرالين المتحاربين في السودان، مع خرق هُدنة أخرى.
ويخطط الاتحاد الأفريقي لعقد جلسة طارئة لبحث إنهاء الصراع، بحسب تقرير نشرته وكالة بلومبرغ الأمريكية واطلعت عليه صوت الهامش.
وأودى الصراع في السودان، والذي دخل أسبوعه الثالث، بحياة أكثر من 500 شخص، فيما دفع نحو 50 ألفاً إلى عبور حدود البلاد، بحسب تقارير للأمم المتحدة.
وتتهيأ المنطقة الآن لاحتمالية نزوح أكثر من 800 ألف سوداني إلى دول الجوار، بحسب ما قال المفوض السامي للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين فيليبو غراندي يوم أمس الاثنين.
واستمرت الغارات الجوية والقصف وإطلاق النار المكثّف في مواقع استراتيجية من العاصمة الخرطوم؛ حيث يستهدف الجيش النظامي قواعد وخطوط دعم تستخدمها قوات الدعم السريع شبه العسكرية، بحسب دبلوماسيين غربيين ووثيقة داخلية للأمم المتحدة اطلعت عليها بلومبرغ.
وقال متحدث باسم الأمم المتحدة إن اجتماعا جرى التخطيط لعقده بين البرهان وحميدتي في السعودية، التي دعمت بقوة الطرفين في الأعوام القليلة الماضية. وأكد المتحدث الأممي أن الاجتماع قد تم الاتفاق عليه من حيث المبدأ لكن موعده لم يُحدّد بعد.
وتبذل منظمة إيقاد للتنمية جهودا حثيثة لعقد محادثات بين الطرفين المتصارعين في السودان، بحسب ما قالت مصادر مطلعة لبلومبرغ.
وميدانياً، تبادل طرفا الصراع الاتهامات بخرق الهدنة، بينما رفض المتحدثون باسم الطرفين -الجيش النظامي والدعم السريع- التعليق على ما أثير عن محادثات سلام بين الجانبين.
ومن المقرر أن يعقد الاتحاد الأفريقي جلسة طارئة بحضور قادة إقليميين بارزين اليوم الثلاثاء، لبحث سُبل إنهاء الصراع، بحسب ما أفاد مكتب رئيس مفوضية الاتحاد

لكنْ في تطوّر خطير، انخرطت عناصر مسلحة تابعة لقبيلة المساليت ومجتمعات عربية جيدة التسليح بإقليم دارفور في دوامة الصراع، بحسب منظمة هيومن رايتس ووتش الحقوقية التي رصد تقرير لها أعمال تدمير ونهب بأحياء سكنية في الإقليم الواقع جنوب غربي السودان.
ولطالما حذر قادة إقليميون من مغبة انخراط مسلحون ينتمون لعرقيات مختلفة تعيش بالمناطق الحدودية الغنية بالمعادن في الصراع السوداني.
وفي مدينة نيالا بولاية جنوب دارفور، شهدت الأيام القليلة الماضية تفشياً في أعمال السلب والنهب، بحسب وثيقة داخلية للأمم المتحدة مؤرخة في 30 أبريل المنصرم. وتشير الوثيقة الأممية إلى أن إدارة نيالا فيما يبدو قد انقسمت على نفسها بين طرفَي الصراع.
