دعت لجنة أطباء السودان المركزية، المنظمات والمهتمين بقضايا حقوق الإنسان لتوسيع دائرة التضامن مع قضية اختفاء الطبيب محمد عامر لأكثر من 10 أيام.
وقال اللجنة إنه ”لا توجد أية ظروف استثنائية على الإطلاق لتبرير الاختفاء القسري، حتى وإن كان هناك حرب أو تهديد بالحرب أو عدم استقرار سياسي داخلي أو أي حالة من حالات الطوارئ العامة الأخرى.“
وتعود قضية اختفاء الطبيب عامر إلى يوم الخميس الموافق 19 يناير الجاري عندما أبلغت أسرته بعدم عودته إلى المنزل في ذلك اليوم أو وجوده مع أي من معارفه او أقارب الأسرة.
وأعلنت أسرة الطبيب محمد عامر عدم معرفتها بمكان وجود إبنها منذ ما يزيد عن الأسبوع، وعبّرت عن قلقها على حياة إبنها.
وكان الطبيب محمد عامر قد أتى إلى السودان في زيارة قصيرة ليختفي في ظروف غامضة قبل عودته إلى مكان عمله بالسعودية.
وأشارت اللجنة في بيان طالعته صوت الهامش، إلى أن حالات الاختفاء القسري تتطلب من المؤسسات تنفيذ القانون وفي مقدمتها النيابة والشرطة وعليها الاضطلاع بمسئوليتها كاملة للوصول إلى المختفي وإبلاغ أسرته بآخر المستجدات وتنوير الرأي العام وعدم تركه فريسة لضعاف النفوس الذين وجدوا في هذه القضية مكاناً للتهكم ونسج الأكاذيب والتضليل، أضرت بطبيعة القضية وبالتأكيد بأسرة وأصدقاء الطبيب المختفي.
